Today was overcast, so I grabbed my camera gear and headed for Olympic National Park.
My main destination of the day was Sol Duc Falls (left). I’d been there several years ago, on a sunny day, and wanted some better pictures. Overcast days are the best days to shoot waterfalls. I spent a lot of time back on the trail to the falls and got some decent shots.
Then I stopped at Marymere Falls on the way back. After Sol Duc, Marymere Falls were just okay.
Coming down the road from Sol Duc, the gas light came on. I hadn’t realized it was that low. I did make it back to Port Angeles with gas to spare, but I wasn’t sure there for a while...
I also stopped at Safeway there in Port Angeles to pick up some more breakfast stuff. Coming out, I got stuck in traffic!! They were repaving a three mile stretch of road and traffic was really backed up. We had a quiet dinner, just the three of us, and played cribbage until bedtime.
