There were choppy seas this morning. Fortunately, it wasn't tummy upsetting. It felt more like being rocked to sleep or like someone was sitting on the edge of the bed putting on their shoes.

I went to a stretch class in the fitness center. It was interesting, but think I'll skip the other one on the schedule. The instructor was a bit full of himself...

Breakfast was in the Oceanview Cafe.

Our ship at dock, Victoria, BC, Canada

It's a rainy, blustery day in Victoria, BC, so, we decided against getting a ride out to the Butchart Gardens. Instead, we took the shuttle into downtown and wandered. The photo on the left shows our ship in port.

We went into the British Columbia Museum. Sue the T-rex was making a special visit. And there was an exhibit about Cambodia. Most of what we remembered of the standing exhibits was being refurbished...

The photo on the left above shows the outside of the Royal British Columbia Museum. The center photo shows some totem poles in the entrance area with the provincial buildings in the background (taken from an upper story overlook). The photo on the right shows Sue, the T.Rex.

Once we left the Museum, we walked around to the back to Thunderbird Park, then wandered the grounds of The Empress Hotel. We actually went inside for the first time ever!

We also explored the gardens there and the convention center.

Then we walked along the waterfront to the Provincial Buildings, then back to where the bus would return us to the ship. Lots of memories.

Then back to ship. The driver took the scenic route and gave us a mini-tour of the area. I pointed out the Fisherman's Village to Kelly for future reference.

We grabbed a late, quick lunch at the Oceanview Cafe, then grabbed our books and drinks and headed to the Sky Lounge for some relaxation time. Until the trivia contest started. Between us, we got 16 right, but 18 won the prize.

So, we walked down to the main dining room to check menu. Meh. Then we checked the menu at the Sushi Restaurant. We'll eat there tonight.... We tried the Alaska California roll. It's okay, but the experiment ended. I've now tried sushi. Don't need to do that again.

After dinner, we explored a couple more places, then Kelly went for a walk to ease her back, Carl went for the gelato, I went to bed.

After I was ready for bed, I looked out the balcony and the moonlight on the water was fantastic! No pictures of that, however. Just the memory.
