Breakfast was at the Lodge one last time. Once again, our waitress found us invisible... You could tell this was the end of the season (the North Rim is only open to the public for a couple more days). Service sucked.

So, we packed up and loaded the car and checked out. It's a chilly morning with wind and lots of clouds. The clouds started to move off a little during breakfast.

We drove down Imperial Point road to the end. Nice views! This one is different from other overlooks. For one thing, there's lots of fire damage visible from last summer's fire. For another, it's the highest point (in elevation) in the park.

The photo on the left shows Mt. Hayden (the column in the foreground) against a backdrop of the rest of the Grand Canyon. The center photo shows a view up the river valley. The photo on the right shows me, extremely windblown, with the small trails at this overlook.

Then it was off down the road to Jacob's Lake for a gas fill, lunch, and some souvenir looking.

Then on to Kanab, UT, again for the night. We stayed in the same nice Comfort Inn. We checked in a little early and made reservations for dinner at Flying V.

We spent the afternoon getting caught up on email and Facebook – this was our first internet connection in days!

Dinner was decent, but the prices were a bit high considering it's Kanab...

Then back to the room and we wound up watching too many old movies...
