Transitions is an entry by a team from Canada and the United States. It depicts a dragon swallowing its tail to symbolize the wheel of time and life. There are actually two dragons carved into this snow sculpture - one swallowing its tail and one standing nearby.

The two photos above show three members of the team working on this large sculpture. The dragon swallowing its tail is to the left. We can only see the back of the standing dragon from this angle.

The four photos above show the completed sculpture. The photo on the left concentrates on the standing dragon. The center two photos show the dragon swallowing its tail. The photo on the right shows a detail of one of the dragons claws.
