We had packed most of the stuff into the car late last night. This included several boxes of “stuff” heading for Kelly’s house - stuff that we really don’t want to take with us when we move. How much they keep will be up to them... These boxes heading for Kelly’s nearly filled my car...

This morning, after a quick breakfast, we loaded the suitcases on top of the boxes, almost completely blocking the visibility out the back window. We also placed most of the flower pots into aluminum baking pans full of water to help them survive the next week. Then we took off, leaving about 7:30.

It was an uneventful trip down to Orlando. It was a hot day - up to 100 degrees for most of South Carolina. We stopped in Columbia, SC, at Fuddrucker’s for lunch. That’s probably the last time we’ll stop there - either they’ve changed or our tastes have.

We tried to find some TCBY or ice cream or something in Brunswick, GA. No luck. We didn’t really want Dairy Queen or McDonald’s... Gas near there was $4.11 - our highest price to date.

We arrived in Orlando a little before 7 and had dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. One couple near us was not only obscenely obese, they had a small, noisy child in a stroller, blocking the main exit from the building. Unbelievable!

On to the hotel, our usual Best Western, where we tried the pool and the hot tub. In all our years of staying here, this is the first time we’ve indulged - usually we’re here in December...
