I finally gave up and got up at 7. The Benadryl really helped, but, for some reason, that line from the old song “Poison Ivy” kept running through my head - it's gonna take an ocean of calomine lotion.....

After a quick breakfast, we packed up and checked out. When checking out, I mentioned to the clerk behind the counter that their spa (hot tub) needed cleaning. She insisted it was cleaned regularly and that the foam was normal. And she said this with a completely straight face..... Two tubes of Benadryl and four days later (as I write this), my back is finally starting to heal up.... The technical term is contact dermatitis....

We had an uneventful drive home. I was pleased to notice that the gas prices had dropped a little while we were away. At least they were back under $4.00 per gallon again...

Lunch was at a Cracker Barrel along the way. We got back to Kingsport a little after 6, so we stopped at the grocery store for breakfast and lunch supplies for tomorrow, then picked up salads from Arby’s to take home with us.

It didn’t take long to unpack, eat, then crash.
