These are some photographs I took on this day. These flowers are growing along the south side of the house, between the house and the driveway, a very hot, sunny area. The two photos above show an overview of this garden, which includes echinacea, russian sage, lavender, day lilies, and filled pots containing mixed flowers. Also visible here along the wall, is the drip system for the hanging pots. That's the only way they survive the heat. We also have a drip hose embedded along the base of the house wall for the flower bed. The two photos above show another view of this garden. The three photos above zoom in on our lavender plant. The bees and little white butterflies really like the blossoms! The two photos above show the large purple day lily that blooms in this garden. Its name is Lavendar Deal and the blossoms are at least 6-8" across! |
