This photo is of Silver Falls. It also shows the large trees brought down the river during the flooding in November 2006. The entire bank facing the falls (the one I'm standing on for this photo) was scoured of trees by the flooding. The trail has been rebuilt, but it will take years to restore the hillside to the thickly forested bank it used to be here. Silver Falls is on the Paradise side of the park and is most easily reached from the trailhead opposite the parking lot for the Grove of the Patriarchs.
