Crowds at Trevi Fountain, Rome, Italy

Trevi Fountain is very popular, as this photo of the admiring crowds shows. The pond in the photo is what the water from the fountain flows into. Trevi Fountain located in Rome, Italy, is one of the newer fountains in the Eternal City. Designed by Nicola Salvi, it was completed in 1762. The central figure is Neptune, flanked by two Tritons, one struggling with an unruly "seahorse" while the other leads a docile one, representing two contrasting moods of the sea.
