I slept well, but the legs are both tired and want to go home, so we'll be heading back to Westminster shortly after breakfast. We made a small detour before heading home. I had Carl drive about 15 miles back south of Moab so I could take the two photos here with snow on the slick rock at the side of the road. It was a fairly uneventful drive home. The road through Utah to the border was a cold drive, with temperatures varying between 2 and 10. Lots of snow on the landscape, but none on the road. Grand Junction had a bit of ground fog and haze. Lunch was at Applebee's – a couple of salads. By the time we got to the Denver area, the temperature had climbed to 52 at sunset! We got home about 6 pm, unpacked the car, chatted with Kelly, had some leftover soup for dinner, a dip in the hot tub, and an early light's out. So ends our Grand Canyon adventure for 2013.
