Thursday December 6

Thursday was a travel day. We followed our usual route down I-26 to I-95 to I-4. As usual, I dozed most of the way... Lunch was at Fuddruckers in Columbia, SC. Maybe it’s my imagination, but it seems to have gone downhill lately. The buns were smaller than usual, for example.

We hit Jacksonville, FL, about quitting time, so we had to deal with rush hour traffic there with the sun in our eyes. The drive through downtown should be more pleasant once they complete the road construction where I-95 and I-10 intersect. Looks like it will be a very nice improvement.

We made it to our usual dinner at Sweet Tomatoes in north Orlando. We look forward to eating there each trip. Then on to our hotel, where our requested room wasn’t available, unless we wanted to do without cable tv during our stay. The cable was out on one whole wing of the hotel. So, we wound up with a second floor room instead of a ground level. Not bad, but it did make getting the Christmas and birthday presents into the room more difficult....

Kelly had left some passes for Universal at the front desk for us. They’re good kids.
