This photo is a view of Mt. Rainier and the Nisqually Vista Trail, one of many trails originating near the Visitor's Center at Paradise. The meadow in the foreground is filled with wildflowers, primarily magenta paintbrush (Castilleja parviflora) and smooth mountain dandelion (Nothocalais alpestris). It's amazing how much prettier dandelions are in the wild than they are in one's lawn...
