Astronomical clock in the Cathedral, Strasbourg, France

This photo shows the enormous astronomical clock house in one wing of the cathedral. This is the third clock built in this location. The first was in the 14th century. This one was dedicated about 1843. It keeps track of "solar time", central European time, phases of the moon, and more. The three photos below show some of the details. In the center is a moon on a starfield. The moon rotates showing the current phase of the moon (full, half, etc). Strasbourg, France.
